Knights of the Round Table Depart
The Knights of the Round Table Depart tapestry shows the knights with maidens as they set off on their quest – from the Quest for the Holy Grail tapestries by Edward Burne-Jones. The series was designed in 1890 and woven by Morris & Co at Merton Abbey in wool and silk on a cotton warp. Now at the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery.
This Knights of the Round Table tapestry is finely woven in France in rayon, acrylic and viscose and it is lined, with a rod pocket for easy hanging.
The Arming and Departure of the Knights tapestry is available in four sizes. The two largest sizes are non-returnable. There is also a detail showing the left side of the tapestry.
