William Morris portiere tapestry
The Arming of the Knights tapestry is popular in our gallery, here among academic certificates. It was originally designed by Edward Burne-Jones in 1890 as the second in the Quest for the Holy Grail tapestries series and it was woven at Merton Abbey by Morris & Co.
The Arming of the Knights tapestry is woven in four sizes. The two largest sizes are non-returnable. There is also a detail showing the left side of the tapestry.
